On October 3rd, John Ponte of Metro Custom Installations, Inc. & Rolling Thunder NY2, will be hosting the Brendan Marrocco Run, through Staten Island to show their gratitude and support for thisStaten Island soldier. SPC. Brendan Marrocco suffered severe injuries from a roadside bomb in 2009 while serving inIraq, leaving him the first soldier to survive after losing all four limbs.

The motorcycle tour will also be an instrument to raise awareness and support for the construction of an accessible new home for Brendan when he returns home after going through hospitalization and rehabilitation atWalter Reed Army Medical Center, in DC. All proceeds will go towards the construction of this home, where dozens of professionals and contractors are ready to donate their time to make this dream come true for him.

The event will take place onStaten Island and will travel through the borough while stopping at military memorials as well as the September 11th Memorial at St. George.
