I am writing
to give a big thank you to all of those who helped us with this years Holiday
Helping Hands Toy Drive! Through your generosity, we were able to deliver toys
to Military Family Christmas’ parties and make many children very happy!
All of the
merchants who collected toys for us were outstanding and please remember to
support them thru out the year. The boxes were not large enough, great job
everybody.
John
“Santa” Ponte, along with his elves: Mary, Walter, Lyn, Bruno and Lisa (to name
a few!) did a fantastic job in donating their time to make our venture a
success by promoting and delivering toys straight to the parties.
Once again,
I’d like to thank you all. I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas, Happy
Holiday, and a Happy New Year, and may God bless you for what you do.
" Operation Holiday Helping Hands " All toy's collected will go to The Military and be distributed to the children at Holiday parties. On October 3rd, John
Ponte of Metro Custom Installations, Inc. & Rolling Thunder NY2, will be
hosting the Brendan Marrocco Run, through Staten Island to show their
gratitude and support for thisStaten Island
soldier.
SPC. Brendan Marrocco suffered severe injuries from a roadside bomb in
2009 while serving inIraq,
leaving him the first soldier to survive after losing all four limbs.
The motorcycle tour will also be
an instrument to raise awareness and support for the construction of an
accessible new home for Brendan when he returns home after going through
hospitalization and rehabilitation atWalterReedArmyMedicalCenter, in DC. All
proceeds will go towards the construction of this home, where dozens of
professionals and contractors are ready to donate their time to make this dream
come true for him.
With the help of our sponsors and the Staten Island
Biker community we were able to raise over $15,000.00 which has been turned over
to The Siller Foundation and will be used to help build Brendan's new home .I am
very proud to have been a part of this and cant thank you all enough. Please
remember the sponsors who helped us with this event, and support them when ever
you can. Always mention Rolling Thunder.
Patriotically yours,
John Ponte - Event Coordinator
Michael Garguilo - President, Rolling Thunder 2NY
